Can the Mets stave off eliminiation?
The LCS continue today with the Dodgers and Mets playing Game 5 this afternoon. The Dodgers have a 3-1 lead where every win has been a blowout. They can finish things off tonight with mid-season acquisition Jack Flaherty (13-7, 3.17 ERA) facing left-hander David Peterson (10-3, 2.90 ERA). The game begins at 4:08 CT and airs on FS1.

After the late game dramatics yesterday, the Yankees and Guardians will play Game 4 with New York up 2-1. In Game 3, Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton hit home runs off Emmanuel Clase to give the Yankees the lead, but Jhonkensy Noel hit a mammoth home run to tie the game and David Fry won it with a walk-off homer. Today, its right-hander Luis Gil (15-7, 3.50 ERA) for the Bronx Bombers against right-hander Gavin Williams (3-10, 4.86 ERA).
