Also, some housekeeping, as Matt Foster’s season is over due to a lower back injury, dude just can’t catch a break. Jake Eder, go ahead and gnash your teeth, was the return in the Jake Burger trade last summer. Until 2024, he was looking like quite a catch. Now, hmm.

On the Oakland side:

Oakland has been playing pretty well in September, to the point where they are 13th in the AL and overall, there are four teams in baseball worse than the A’s. Uncharted territory, relatively speaking.
