Royals vs. Guardians Monday doubleheader game thread

The Royals begin an important four-game series in Cleveland, as they trail the first place Guardians by three games. The two teams will play a doubleheader today, to make up for the postponed game from June 6. Cole Ragans will start for the Royals in Game 1, with Alec Marsh called up as the 27th man for Game 2. The Royals added Carlos Hernández and Daniel Lynch to the bullpen, with Will Smith hitting the Injured List and Angel Zerpa sent down.

The Guardians are starting right-handed reliever Nick Sandlin as an opener before turning things over to left-hander Joey Cantillo, who was called up today as the 27th man. Lefty Logan Allen is expected to start the second game.

Game time is at 12:10 CT on Bally Sports Kansas City.
