Chase DeLauter hit his first AAA home run and the Captains get the win.

Columbus Clippers (63-59) - AAA

IND 6 - COL 2

Triston McKenzie started the night giving up 3 runs in the 1st inning (2 unearned - throwing error on Arias) and ended the night going only 4.0 innings. He gave up 7 hits, 5 runs (3 earned), and 3 walks. He struck out 4 in 84 pitches. The Clippers first run came in the bottom of the 6th. Angel Martínez grounded out to 1B, scoring Christian Cairo. In the bottom of the 7th, Chase DeLauter hit his first AAA Home Run.

Akron RubberDucks (69-49) - AA

HBG 3 - AKR 2

Box Score

Akron fell to Harrisburg in extra innings. Parker Messick threw 5.0 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. He walked 3 and struck out 5. The loss went to Zane Morehouse, his first of the season. Morehouse threw 2.0 innings, striking out 4 but allowing the winning run.

Akron’s first run of the night was due to the speedy effort of Milan Tolentino who stole home in the bottom of the 5th. Aaron Bracho tied the game in the bottom of the 9th with a home run to right center, but Akron was not able to secure the victory.

Lake County Captains (67-49) - High A

LC 4 - WM 2

Alonzo Richardson went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits in Lake County’s Friday night victory. Richardson walked 3 and struck out 2. The win was awarded to Adam Tulloch, his 5th. Tulloch pitched 2 full innings, giving up 1 hit and striking out 4. Captains offense was quite lively with 5 batters recording the team’s 9 hits. Travis Bazzana went 2-for-3 with a walk. Alex Mooney and Angel Genao both recorded RBI doubles. Jake Fox with an RBI single and Ralphy Velazquez with a sacrifice fly rounded out Lake Captain’s scoring.

Lynchburg Hillcats (62-54) - Low A

LYN 8 - SAL 9

Box Score

A high scoring night in Low A saw 15 hits for Lynchburg. Christian Knapcyzk, Ryan Cesarini, and Fran Alduey all had 2 RBI nights. Tommy Hawke and Juan Benjamin also knocked in a RBI each of their own. However a fielding error and balk in the bottom of the 8th would ultimately contribute to Lynchburg’s loss.
