Mets Minors Recap: Blade Tidwell’s Triple-A Struggles Continue

It was a rough night in the Mets farm system, with Binghamton picking up the only victory on the night—the other team affiliates combined to score five runs. Blade Tidwell continued his struggles (like most Mets pitching prospects in the offensive-happy International League) with Triple-A Syracuse.

Triple-A

Durham Bulls (59-64) 7, Syracuse Mets (66-55) 1

BOX SCORE

Baty left the game (no reason given) in the top of the sixth inning. As Gilbert tries to salvage a mostly lost season due to injury, he has reached base safely in 10 of his last 11 games.

Hitters are just 2-for-23 with only two walks and nine strikeouts against Fujinami this month.

Double-A

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (60-54) 8, Reading Fighting’ Phils (51-65) 2

BOX SCORE

Parada has a .395 OPS in August and struck out in 20 of his 58 at-bats.

It was quite a start for the 26-year-old Pintaro, who pitched for the Glacier Range Riders of the Pioneer League just a few months ago.

High-A

Jersey Shore BlueClaws (65-52) 10, Brooklyn Cyclones (56-61) 1

BOX SCORE

Suero is second among Mets minor leaguers with 13 hit-by-pitches this season.

Louis was making his Brooklyn debut after posting a 1.44 ERA in 42 1/3 innings for the St. Lucie Mets this season.

Low-A

Palm Beach Cardinals (72-43) 7, St. Lucie Mets (39-76) 3

BOX SCORE

2024 first-rounder Carson Benge had his first rough game as a pro, going 0-for-5 with three strikeouts.

Yabbour had his fastball up to 98 mph in the outing and has 59 strikeouts in 41 1/3 innings this season.
