2024 Masters money: Purse, payout breakdown, winner’s share

Augusta National released the 2024 Masters prize money breakdown on Saturday, with the total purse increasing to $20 million. Last year, the purse was $18 million, which was already a big jump from the previous year ($15 million).The winner of this year’s Masters will receive $3.6 million —Jon Rahm won $3.2 million last year —with the runner-up taking home $2.16 million and 3rd earning $1.36 million.For years, the majors were the biggest paydays in pro golf (along with the Players Championship, the marquee event on the PGA Tour), but the PGA Tour/LIV Golf divide has played a big role in increasing purses across the sport.
