The course consists of lectures, facilitated large and small group discussions, and an encounter with a standardized patient instructor. Introduction to the Dental Profession Evidence‐based dentistry (EBD) is a major theme for all the courses in the curriculum and for a contemporary dental practice. This course provides a foundation for students (and faculty) along with an introductory working knowledge of all of the tools for EBD. Additional information and a plethora of examples are provided by other course instructors building on this foundation. The course is provided online and can be accessed at any future time by students to review or reference during the 4‐year curriculum.
