WBSC U-18 Women's Softball World Cup Group C in Dallas: Media accreditation open until 25 August

The deadline for registration is 25 August.</p>

<p>All members of the media, both local/national and international, who plan to cover the WBSC U-18 Women's Softball World Cup Group C must apply for accreditation through the official WBSC Media Accreditation online platform at <a href="https://my.wbsc.org/mediareq/index" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://my.wbsc.org</a>.</p>

<p>The accreditation procedure starts by clicking on <a href="https://my.wbsc.org/mediareq/index" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MEDIA ACCREDITATIONS</a>. The online request form needs to be completed, also including a headshot.</p>

<p>Once the request is submitted, media members will receive an automated email confirmation that their application has been received. Those media intending to cover the event remotely should contact the WBSC Media Department by writing to <a href="mailto:media@wbsc.org">media@wbsc.org</a>.</p>

<p>Another automated message will indicate a "change of status" in the accreditation request.</p>

<h3><strong>GUIDELINES FOR NON-RIGHTS HOLDING (“NRH”) MEDIA</strong></h3>

<ul><li>Only rights holders of applicable games may transmit game footage (audio and/or video) of WBSC events.</li><li>NRH media credentials provide access to official training sessions, games, and Opening/Closing Ceremonies.</li><li>Specific categories will grant credentials (i.e., Press, Photographer, Radio and TV, Team Media), and stadium access will be given accordingly.</li><li>Photographers, NRH TV crews, and Team Media will be required to wear WBSC-issued media vests.</li></ul>

<h3><strong>The Event</strong></h3>

<p>The WBSC U-18 Women's Softball World Cup opens this summer with the Group Stage. A total of 18 teams have been split into three groups, with the top two teams in each group’s final standings advancing to the Finals, scheduled for 2025 in Dallas, USA.</p>

<p>Each group consists of a four-day, 15-game round robin with the top four teams advancing to playoffs on the final day where the top two sides in the standings will play each other with a ticket to the Finals at stake. The loser of the first play-off game will then play against the winner of the game between third and fourth, for the second spot in the Finals.</p>

<p><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.wbsc.org/en/events/2024-ii-u-18-womens-softball-world-cup-group-a/schedule-and-results" target="_blank">Group A</a>, was played from 23 to 27 July at the Estadio Municipal de Beisebol Mie Nishi in Sao Paulo, Brazil. <a href="https://www.wbsc.org/en/events/2024-ii-u-18-womens-softball-world-cup-group-a/news/wbsc-u-18-womens-softball-world-cup-finals-2025-chinese-taipei-czechia-clinch-first-tickets">World No. 4 Chinese Taipei and No. 9 Czechia</a> secured their tickets to the Finals 2025.</p>

<p>No. 2 Puerto Rico, No. 3 Japan, No. 6 Italy, No. 8 the Netherlands, No. 14 Peru and No. 17 China will compete in <a href="https://www.wbsc.org/en/events/2024-ii-u-18-womens-softball-world-cup-group-b/schedule-and-results" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Group B</a>, scheduled from 14 to 18 August <a href="https://www.wbsc.org/en/events/2024-ii-u-18-womens-softball-world-cup-group-b/news/wbsc-u-18-womens-softball-world-cup-group-b-awarded-to-pingtan-china" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">at the Pingtan Softball Stadium</a> in China.</p>
