MLB to broadcast WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup final on its streaming platforms
The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) granted Major League Baseball (MLB) the broadcast rights on its streaming platforms to the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup Finals 2024 presented by CARNEXT World Championship game live.
The game between the six-time defending champions, world No. 1 Japan and No. 3 USA, is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, at 15:00 (local time) in Thunder Bay, Canada. It will stream for free live on MLB.com, MLB.TV, and the MLB mobile app.
USA (2004 and 2006) and Japan (2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018) are the only WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup winners to date.
Japan has participated in all eight finals, earning a silver medal in 2004 and 2006. The US finished second in 2012 and 2014. The other finalists were Canada (2008, 2016), Australia (2010), and Chinese Taipei (2018).
