LA acquires Rosario for the second year in a row.

The Tampa Bay Rays have traded utility defender Amed Rosario to the Dodgers.

Rosario was on a one year contract with the Rays.

The return is Triple-A reliever Michael Flynn, a low arm slot right handed reliever that fits the recent Rays approach to surprising looks out of the bullpen.

Flynn, 27, went 42.1 IP allowing 20 ER (4.25 ERA), earning four saves, and striking out 59 batters across 31 G (1 GS) between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Per the team press release: Originally selected by the Pirates in the sixth round of the 2018 Draft, he made nine appearances in Pittsburgh’s system before suffering a season-ending injury in 2019. Flynn did not pitch again until signing a minor league contract with the Mariners on May 13, 2022. Following two seasons in Seattle’s system, Flynn signed a minor league contract with the Dodgers on December 14, 2023.
