Columbus Clippers 5, Toledo Mud Hens 3

Three members of the Clippers had big games offensively, but only one of them was from a top prospect. Juan Brito went 3-for-5 with a double and a stolen base.

Micah Pries also had a three-hit game, going 3-for-4 with a home run. Bryan Lavastida went 2-for-4 with a double and three runs batted in.

Starting pitcher Xzavion Curry was excellent, allowing two runs on three hits in 5 13 innings with seven strikeouts and two walks.

Tanner Burns tossed 1 23 scoreless innings of relief. Andrew Walters pitched a scoreless eighth inning to earn a hold and Anthony Gose allowed one run in the ninth inning to earn a save.

Akron RubberDucks 4, Erie Seawolves 3 (F/12)

It’s not often a player makes the biggest difference in a game without collecting a hit, but C.J. Kayfus did just that. Batting from the leadoff position, Kayfus went 0-for-2, but walked a whopping four times, including picking up an RBI. He still has a 1.097 OPS since being promoted to Double-A.

Kody Huff reached base safely three times, going 2-for-4 with a double and a walk. Dayan Frias and Joe Lampe both went 1-for-4 with a walk, with Frias doubling.

Starting pitcher Aaron Davenport got back on track, allowing two runs on five hits in five innings with four strikeouts and two walks. Davis Sharpe tossed two scoreless innings, followed by Ross Carver, who had three more scoreless innings.

Alaska Abney was excellent pitching the 11th and 12th innings, allowing just one unearned ghost runner to score while striking out three to earn the win.

Lake County Captains 2, Dayton Dragons 3

Lake County’s offense couldn’t get the big hit, going 0-for-12 with runners in scoring position on Monday. Jonah Advincula led the way, going 3-for-4 with a double. Angel Genao went 2-for-5 with a stolen base and Maick Collado walked and was hit by a pitch.

Starting pitcher Matt Wilkinson had a hit and miss kind of day. He allowed three runs (one earned) on three hits in 3 13 innings pitched while striking out five and walking three.

The bullpen was tremendous as Jake Miller and Alan Hernandez combined for 4 23 innings of scoreless relief with six strikeouts.

Lynchburg Hillcats 10, Salem Red Sox 5

Lynchburg’s offense teed off on Monday. Jaison Chourio was perfect at the plate going 1-for-1 with four walks, three runs scored and two stolen bases.

Juan Benjamin went 3-for-5 and a stolen base, Rafael Ramirez Jr. went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and a double, Robert Lopez went 2-for-5 with a double and Ralphy Velazquez went 2-for-5.

Starting pitcher Yorman Gomez allowed three runs on eight hits in 4 2/3 innings. Reny Artiles earned the win with 2 13 scoreless innings pitched.

ACL Guardians 6, ACL Reds 1

The top Guardians international prospect went 4-for-5 at the plate, smashing his fourth home run of the season and stealing two bases, helping lead the ACL Guardians to a decisive victory.

Logun Clark, a catcher drafted in 2022, also was a beast, going 2-for-4 with a home run and a hit by pitch. He’s off to a hot start with a .400 average and a 1.155 OPS.

Luis Merejo went 2-for-4 with a double.

Starting pitcher Jacob Zinn was excellent, allowing one run on one hit with five strikeouts and two walks in four innings.

Melkis Hernandez was sensational in long relief, tossing four scoreless frames with seven strikeouts to earn the win.

DSL CLE Goryl 8, DSL Red Sox Blue 3

Box Score · Goryl improve to 14-7

Yeiferth Castillo and Santiago Ustariz both went 2-for-4 with Ustariz tripling. Estivel Morillo and Luis De La Cruz both walked twice and stole a base.

Miguel Flores tossed four scoreless innings, allowing two hits, striking out four and walking four.

DSL CLE Mendoza 17, DSL Cubs Red 8

Box Score · Mendoza improve to 11-9

This game was a massive on-base fest for Cleveland’s DSL Mendoza squad as the team had 13 hits, 12 walks and was hit by three pitches.

The top of the Mendoza lineup reached base a whopping 17 times in 18 plate appearances!

Top prospect Robert Arias went 2-for-3 with two walks, two hit by pitches, a stolen base and four runs scored.

Gabriel Rodriguez was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double and three walks.

Left fielder Juneiker Caceres also was perfect at the dish, going 4-for-4 with two doubles, two walks and an absolutely freaking ridiculous nine runs batted in.

Dariel Arias went 1-for-2 with two walks, a hit by pitch and four runs scored.
