The Oakland Athletics are .500 over their last 6 games against two strong AL Central opponents, a welcome improvement over the nine-game losing streak that preceded it.
Today, the A’s will fight to continue their improved play against an easier opponent in the Los Angeles Angels, who are only 3 games ahead of Oakland in the basement of the AL West.
Luis Medina will be leading the A’s on the mound. Meanwhile, JJ Bleday will be getting a new look in the leadoff spot with Max Schuemann getting a much-deserved rest day.
