Mariners Game #78 Preview: Mariners at Marlins

0 17
Jeff Lange / USA TODAY NETWORK

Give man fish, he day. Teach man fish, to a lifetime.

The Mariners begin this year's Florida road trip today, opening a 3 game series against the Miami Marlins. This year's Marlins aren't quite the same team that snuck into the playoffs last year, but they are stacked with some lefty pitching that could prove tough for the M's.

Lineups:

Speaking of lefties, Miami is sending out left hander Trevor Rogers to open up the series. Rogers isn't quite at his peak, but I've written "the Mariners should be able to get to this struggling pitcher" too many times in these previews for me to believe it anymore.

On the offensive side, Scott is sending out the anti-lefty half of the lineup, which means all you Rojomies and Raley enjoyers will have to wait until we get into the bullpen to see them.

Game News:

Santos is showing signs of life and getting dangerously close to making a comeback.
