Morning Briefing: Brandon Nimmo Underwent Concussion Testing Amid Slump

0 3

Good morning, Mets fans!

According to Peter Botte of the New York TimesBrandon Nimmo has undergone concussion testing during his recent struggles at the plate. Nimmo was hit in the head by a pitch on May 24, around the same time his slump started.

Nimmo has reiterated that he doesn’t have any symptoms, but Mets manager Carlos Mendoza experienced a similar situation last year when Anthony Rizzo had an undiagnosed concussion for months and struggled at the plate. Whatever the issue with Nimmo is, the Mets are hoping both he and they can figure it out during a critical stretch of games ahead.
