Morning Briefing: Houser Will Pitch Tuesday, Scott Friday Amidst Funk

The Mets lost a heartbreaker in Miami on Saturday, dropping Game 2 to the Marlins 10-9 in 10 innings. Edwin Díaz continued to struggle in his outing Saturday, giving up a four-run lead in the ninth to take the game to extra innings, in which the Marlins went on to walk it off in the 10th.
The Mets (20-25) and Marlins (15-32) close out their series on Sunday at 1:40 p.m. ET. Sean Manaea (2-1, 3.05 ERA) will be on the hill for the Mets against Sixto Sánchez (0-1 5.96 ERA) for Miami.
According to Tim Healey of Newsday, Adrian Houser will make his next start on Tuesday for the Mets against the Cleveland Guardians. That will put Christian Scott making his next appearance on Friday against the Giants.
