With the series evened, the M’s will try to pull ahead in game three.

Well, last night sure was a roller coaster - multiple lead changes, a pinch-hit grand slam, and a pitcher leaving with a brutal injury all combined for arguably the wildest game of the year so far. A breather would be understandable, but instead, the Mariners will march into the third tilt of this four-game set in Minnesota.

Lineups:

Josh Rojas is at leadoff as is the norm lately, but tonight he’ll be back at third base, with Luke Raley slotting into left field. As for the Twins, Carlos Correa moves up to the two-hole, while Manuel Margot gets his first start of the series to round out Minnesota’s lineup.

Injury Updates:

After the injury to Tayler Saucedo and the news that Bryan Woo will be back soon, a couple of roster moves were expected, and here they are:

Notably, when Kirby Snead makes his Mariners debut, he will be the 1,000th player in franchise history. Who had him on their bingo cards?

Game Info:

Today’s first pitch will be at 4:40pm Pacific time, and accessible through the usual channels. Aaron Goldsmith and Mike Blowers will be on the call on ROOT Sports, while Rick Rizzs and Dave Sims will be calling the action on 710 AM Seattle Sports.

Today in Mariners History:

2022: Ty France hits a walkoff single in extras to lift the Mariners over the Rays 2-1.

2018: James Paxton throws the sixth and most recent no-hitter in franchise history, tossing a Maddux in Toronto as the bats put up five runs in support.
