Hits, Homers And Dogs

0 7

Tuesday was the first Bark In The Park at Camden Yards for 2024 and man’s best friend was well represented. The Orioles bats were also well represented, with fifteen hits put up on the board and for the fourth consecutive game, three of those hits left the yard. With David Rubenstein and Cal Ripken Jr watching from the front row, the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Minnesota Twins 11-3.

Starter Grayson Rodriguez (3-0) contributed a quality start to the hit parade, limiting the Twins to 2 runs on 4 hits, while walking 3, striking out 6 and tossing a wild pitch. Rodriguez was the winning pitcher.

Yohan Ramirez (1.2 IP, H, K, WP) and Mike Baumann (1.1 IP, R, 2 H, BB, 3 K) combined to close the game out.

Eight of the nine Baltimore starters tallied a hit while all nine did reach base. Gunnar Henderson continued to pace the offense, going 3 for 5 with a homerun, 1 run scored and 3 RBI.

Ryan O’Hearn (2 for 5, HR, 2 R, 2 RBI) and Jordan Westburg (2 for 4, 2B, HR, R, 2 RBI) also drank from the “homerun hydration station”.

James McCann (2 for 4, 2B, R, RBI), Anthony Santander (2 for 4, R, RBI, HBP) and Colton Cowser (2 for 4, R, 2 RBI) each had a multi-hit game.

Rounding out the hit parade were Adley Rutschman (1 for 4, 2 R, BB) and Cedric Mullins (1 for 5, R, SB).

All that was missing was Casey Kasem.
