WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University junior forward Tim Barbieri has been selected as a 2023 KCAC Men's Basketball third-team honoree, while forward Al Emerllahu and guard Christian Williams have each earned a spot on the All-Freshman team, the league office announced today (Feb. 22).

Barbieri produced the best season of his career, averaging career-highs in points (11.4 ppg) and rebounds (8.5 rpg), with his rebounding total ranking third in the KCAC. The Abilene, Kan. native also finished third in the league in field-goal percentage (60.6 percent) and was named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week on Feb. 13 after snatching 11 defensive rebounds and recording three blocks and two steals in a 67-61 Falcon victory at Tabor College.

Emerllahu finished third on the team in both scoring (10.3 ppg) and rebounding (5.4 rpg) this season. A native of San Antonio, Texas, Emerllahu earned KCAC Offensive Player of the Week honors following a 20-point and 10-rebound performance that powered the Falcons to an 83-72 victory over Tabor back on Dec. 13.

A local Wichita product, Williams averaged double-figure scoring (10.1 ppg) and finished tied for second on the team with 1.7 assists on the season. Williams topped the 20-point mark twice this year, highlighted by a career-best 24 points at York University (Jan. 4).
