MADISON, S.D. - Dakota State (S.D.) met with a competitive outburst from South Dakota Mines' varsity squad Thursday evening, with the team showing promise in securing most of the first-round victories as well as various flawless and thrifty round, which had the team at a disadvantage going into the round. The Trojans were able to rally and reconnect in the final two matches in the best of three series allowing the team to keep their winning streak alive in the spring Collegiate Champions League (CCL) season.
Carson Boyle led his team in eliminations with fifty-nine (59) followed by Caleb Schneider with 54. Schneider paced DSU with 40 assists, while Jacob Mauss had 21 assists.
The Trojans now stand 4-0 record in the spring CCL Valorant division. South Dakota Mines now sits 2-2 record.
