[Women's Track & Field] Simpson PR's at Brady Invite for SXU Women's Track & Field

Angola, Ind. – Junior Madison Simpson (Burbank, Ill./Reavis) finished in fifth place with a new personal record (PR) throw of 11.57m in the Shot Put, the second-best in program history, and earned four points for the Saint Xavier University women's track and field team at the Sean Brady Invitational hosted by Trine University (Ind.) in Angola, Ind. Simpson also recorded the second-best throw in the Weight Throw in team history with a distance of 14.40m for a fifth-place finish and four more points for the Cougars. As a team, SXU tallied 28 points and finished in eightth place out of 13 teams. Purdue University Fort Wayne (Ind.) was the top team, collecting 143 points.
