[Women's Basketball] Saints Get Home Win Over Cougars

Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross women's basketball team had a non-conference matchup today when they played host to the Indiana University Kokomo Cougars. The Saints offense started off slow in today's game, but their ability to get rebounds and second chance points gave them an early lead. The Saints grabbed 17 rebounds in the first quarter and would lead 16-12 going into the second quarter. In the second quarter, the Saints offense started to knock down shots shooting 41% from the field. The Saints would lead 37-33 going into halftime. In the third quarter, the Saints shot 75% from the three-point line, with Jordyn Smith hitting two 3 pointers in the quarter. This would extend the Saints' lead and give them a 58-45 lead going into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, Audrey Tallent led the Saints with 7 points in the quarter and the Saints would go onto win 67-58. With the win, Holy Cross improves to 8-8 overall, while the Cougars drop to 1-13.
