[Women's Track & Field] Multiple School Records Broken by SXU at Windy City Classic

CHICAGO – Five different athletes from the Saint Xavier University women's track and field team set new program records at the Windy City Classic hosted by Chicago State University (Ill.) at Worrell Track and Field Center Friday evening in Chicago, Ill. Sophomore Amia Harrison (Chicago, Ill./Simeon Career Academy) broke her own record in the 60m Hurdles by winning the race with a new SXU record time of 9.34 seconds. Junior Madison Simpson (Burbank, Ill./Reavis) became the first Saint Xavier thrower to best 15.00m in the Weight Throw with her first-place toss of 15.08m to also break her own school record. Overall, the Cougars competed well in their first meet of the 2022-23 Indoor season as no team scores were recorded for programs from NCAA Division I, II, III & the NAIA.
