[Volleyball] Trio from SXU Women's Volleyball named NAIA Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three members of the Saint Xavier University women's volleyball team (24-8/15-2 CCAC) earned Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors when the awards were announced by the national office Tuesday afternoon prior to the start of the NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship Tournament that begins on Wednesday, November 30 in Sioux City, Iowa. The three SXU athletes were senior middle blocker/right side Maria Gutierrez (Cicero, Ill./Morton East), senior outside hitter/defensive specialist Kellylyn Kotowski (Channahon, Ill./Providence Catholic) and sophomore setter Kaleigh Ritter (Tinley Park, Ill./Lincoln-Way East).
