The Winnipeg Goldeyes (16-15) beat the Lincoln Saltdogs 7-5 at Shaw Park on Friday night – Box Score
Tied at 5-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Raul Navarro ripped a line drive to center field over the head of Lincoln’s Randy Norris and sprinted all the way home scoring an inside-the-park home run to give Winnipeg the lead.
Travis Seabrooke (2-2) picked up the win in relief, while David Zoz (3-1) took the loss in relief for Lincoln (17-13).
The Goldeyes took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second. Josh Altmann cracked a two-run home run in the top of the fourth that put the Saltdogs up 2-1.
In the bottom of the sixth, Deon Stafford hit a grand slam down the left-field line.
Tasker Strobel pitched a perfect top of the ninth on just 10 pitches to earn his eighth save.
