[Men's Lacrosse] Layden Named NCLL Division II National Player of the Week
Senior Long Stick Midfielder Nick Layden (SR/Ridley, PA) was named the National Collegiate Lacrosse League's Division II Player of the Week for the week prior to Easter. His play helped lead Williamson to a 3-0 week, which vaulted them into the NCLL Division II Top 25 national poll at #24.
Layden finished the week with four goals and four assists, while constantly shutting down the opposing team's top scoring threat. A senior captain, he also was the starting quarterback for the football team before being injured three games into the season.
Williamson next takes on NCLL Division I opponent Villanova University, currently ranked #9 in the latest NCLL Division I national poll, in an away contest on Wednesday night at 8:00 P.M. The game is scheduled to be played in Villanova stadium. They then close out their regular season on Friday night in an 8:00 P.M. start at The College of New Jersey.
