[Baseball] Luther Goes 3-for-5, Arnone Homers Again in Loss To Kansas Wesleyan

0 6

WADDELL, Ariz. – The San Diego Christian College Hawks wrapped up the Coach Calderone Classic baseball tournament in Arizona Saturday with a 4-9 loss at the hands of the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes.

Allowing six runs over the first three innings, the early runs once again placed the Hawks in a hole that they could not claw out of.

The duo of Jake Luther and Alec Arnone would pair up to get SDCC on the board in the fourth. A leadoff double down the left-field line by Luther would be backed up by a blast over the left-field wall by Arnone.

Accounting for all of the team's RBI in the game, the pair of Luther and Arnone would smash back-to-back singles to center field to plate Johnny Radomskiy and Peyton Berroth respectively for the final two San Diego Christian runs.

The Hawks fly west to take on the University of Hawaii – Hilo Vulcans in a five-game series on the Big Island, February 4-6.
