[Shooting Sports] Shotgun Team Caps Fall Season

The Doane Shotgun Team closed out the fall portion on their schedule on Saturday with the Wayne State Invite. Sunday's action was cancelled due to weather conditions. Two events were completed on the first day, accounting for the team score.

Doane finished with a 896 team score between trap (474) and sporting clays (422) to  finish fourth overall. The Tigers were led by Skylar Clark (SO/Carleton, Mich.) and Jack Olsen (SR/Frederick, Colo.) with scores of 182. Sam Arnett (FR/Arlington, Neb.) posted a 179 and Trevin Alberts (SR/Lincoln, Neb.) finished with a 176. Payton DeTavernier (SO/Papillion, Neb.) finished with a 174 and finished 3rd overall in the female high overall score.

Three Tigers posted scores of 167, Seth Swinea (SO/Waynesboro, Tenn.), Stephen MacNeal (JR/Weatherly, Pa.), and Alex Wagner (JR/Lincoln, Neb.). Jaron Brown (SO/Minden, Neb.) finished with a 162 while Ashley Schulze (SR/Battle Creek, Neb.) posted a 156. Vanessa Trimmer-Enriquez (JR/Rio Rancho, N.M.) scored a 143 and Jess Himmelberg (FR/Lawrence, Neb.) collected a 131 total score.
