[Men's Swimming] Spires Get First Dual Action, Jorgens Hits NAIA B-Standard

LEAVENWORTH, Kan.. – The University of Saint Mary men and women's swim team hosted the NCAA D2 Maryville Saints on Saturday at Lansing High School. The meet marked the Spires first dual match of the season. After 26 events the Spires were able to put together a set of wins. While both teams swam terrific, there was an outstanding performance from Blake Jorgens in the 50 Yard Freestyle where he earned the men's first individual national qualifying mark of the season. The men were able to defeat the Saints by a score of 120-81, while the women fell 115-84.

The men begin their season at 1-0, and the women Spires start their season at 0-1.
