[Women's Soccer] Tigers to play Pink Out Game, honor Julie Ditty Qualls

0 7

Family is something that runs deep for Georgetown College women's soccer, be it the team unit or a fellow Tiger's relatives. Under the direction of coach Leah Crews Castleman, family comes before game. This has been evident time and again as trials and tribulations have arisen. Saturday is another time to rally support.

"The Lochow family has been a huge part of our soccer program for the past four years," Castleman said. "It is our honor to play in memory of Julie."

The women's team, in its game against Life University, will stand tall and proud with Haven Lochow, the Lochow family and Julie Ditty Qualls. Saturday's Homecoming game is a Pink Out with all donations, gate and concessions proceeds going to support the Julie Ditty Qualls Foundation – helping to continue her passion to bring tennis and other opportunities to kids in the community.

Qualls, senior Haven Lochow's aunt, never met a challenge she did not defeat. The All-American tennis player lived life to the fullest and breast cancer did not steal that passion or joy, nor did it win the match despite Qualls passing away this past September.
