WICHITA, Kan. — The Friends University Falcons have been selected to finish eighth in the KCAC preseason media poll and ninth in the coaches' poll following a virtual KCAC Media Day Tuesday (Oct. 12).

Defending KCAC regular-season and tournament champion, Sterling College took the top spot in the media poll, grabbing 13 first-place votes, but was edged out by Tabor for first place in the coaches' poll by four total points.

Kansas Wesleyan and McPherson came in third and fourth, respectively, in both polls. Bethel, followed by Bethany, Oklahoma Wesleyan, and Friends rounded out the top eight in the media poll.

Bethany took the fifth spot in the coaches' poll, followed by Ottawa, Bethel, and Oklahoma Wesleyan.

"It's going to be a fun year," head coach Dean Jaderston said in his media conference. "It's going to be fun getting back to normal, and I think we could be pretty good by the end of the year."

The Falcons open their season at home on Nov. 2 with a non-conference matchup with Barclay College. Conference play is scheduled to begin on Nov. 17 as the Falcons will take on Avila inside the Garvey Center.
