[Women's Soccer] Iturbe & Leonard lead SXU past IU South Bend, 7-0
Lakeville, Ind. – Freshman forward Jasmine Iturbe (Palos Heights, Ill./Shepard) and sophomore forward Mariyah Leonard (Tucson, Ariz./Tucson High Magnet) each scored a pair of goals to help lead the Saint Xavier University women's soccer team (3-10, 3-5 CCAC) to a 7-0 victory over Indiana University South Bend in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest Saturday afternoon at Newton Park in Lakeville, Ind. The seven goals by the Cougars are the most since a 7-0 triumph over Holy Cross College (Ind.) on October 15, 2016. It's the first time since October 19, 2019 that SXU had a pair of teammates each score two or more goals. Shelby Bishop (2018-19) recorded a hat trick, while Alyssa Gilman (2017-19) tallied two goals in a 5-0 win over Governors State University (Ill.).
