Ben Simmons Ruled Out Monday

Anthony Slater reports Ben Simmons will sit out of Monday’s matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and Golden State Warriors due to an illness.



Simmons last played in the 76ers 106-103 win against the Los Angeles Clippers, playing 36 minutes, scoring 12 points, nine rebounds and six assists. In 48 games, he has averaged 33 minutes, 15 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists per game this season. He is also one of the team leaders in usage, with a 20.8% usage rate.

Expect Joel Embiid to see an uptick in production with Simmons and Tobias Harris off the court. In 88 minutes this season without them, Embiid has a 45.9% usage rate and averages 2.23 fantasy points per minute. Priced at $10,400 on FanDuel, Embiid has played 38 games this season, averaging 32 minutes, 30 points, 11 rebounds and three assists per game. He is currently +270 to win the MVP award.

The 76ers are a 5-point home favorite against the Golden State Warriors on FanDuel Sportsbook, in a game with a 226.5 total.
