Wrist Injury Will Keep Lonnie Walker Out of Action Monday
The San Antonio Spurs will be taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night without the services of Lonnie Walker, as confirmed by Tom Orsborn. Walker will miss his eighth straight game with a wrist injury.
Dejounte Murray and Derrick White have been running the Spurs’ backcourt since Walker went down and have been lights out. White has been putting up 17.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.0 assists, or an average of 29.6 FanDuel Fantasy Points per game. Murray has been even more impressive, averaging 16.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.7 assists, which is equivalent to 37.1 FanDuel Fantasy Points a game.
It’s a favorable matchup for both White and Murray as the Cavs have the 23rd opponent rank on FanDuel against point guards. White is the more affordable option with a $5,700 salary; Murray has a $7,800, albeit with a higher fantasy ceiling.
The Spurs have dropped seven of their last nine, and the Cavs have lost five in a row. Check back to FanDuel Sportsbook for a line on the game closer to tip-off.
