Christian Wood to Start Wednesday
The Athletic’s Kelly Iko reports Christian Wood will return to the Houston Rockets rotation in Wednesday’s matchup against the Brooklyn Nets after missing the last two games due to an ankle injury and illness. He will split time with Kelly Olynyk at center.
Priced at $7,700 on FanDuel, Wood has averaged 31 minutes, 21 points, 10 rebounds and one assist per game in his first season with the team. He has missed significant time due to an ankle injury, starting only 23 games this season.
Wood should also see an increase in production with John Wall out of the lineup due to a sore knee. In 328 minutes this season without Wall on the floor, Wood has a 27.4% usage rate and averages 1.29 fantasy points per minute.
He will face a tough Brooklyn Nets rotation who lead the league in scoring, averaging 119.1 points per game. The Rockets are a 12.5-point road underdog against the Nets on FanDuel Sportsbook, in a game with a 229 total.
