0 28

The New York Knicks have announced Derrick Rose has been ruled out of Wednesday’s matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a sore ankle.

Rose, who missed more than a month due to COVID-19, has played two games in his return to the rotation, averaging 27 minutes, scoring 14 points, one rebound and one assist per game. As a member of the Knicks, he has played 12 games, averaging 25 minutes, 13 points, two rebounds and four assists per game.

Elfrid Payton will start for the Knicks Wednesday and should see an increase in production with Rose off the floor, with a 23% usage rate in 1016 minutes this season.

Payton, priced at $4,500 on FanDuel, has averaged 27 minutes, 12 points, four rebounds and three assists in 38 games this season.

The Knicks are a 3-point road underdog against the Timberwolves on FanDuel Sportsbook in a game with a 217.5 total. The Timberwolves have allowed the third-most points to opponents this season, averaging 117.1 points per game.
