LaMarcus Aldridge out for Several More Games
Brian Mahoney of the Associated Press reports LaMarcus Aldridge will miss two to four games for the Brooklyn Nets as he works on reconditioning, delaying his debut for the team.
Aldridge signed with the Nets Saturday, agreeing to a one-year deal worth the veteran’s minimum after spending six seasons with the San Antonio Spurs. As a Spur, Aldridge averaged 32 minutes per game, scoring 19 points, eight rebounds and two assists. This season, he appeared in 21 games, missing time due to a hip injury, averaging 26 minutes, 14 points, four rebounds and two assists per game, eventually losing his place in the starting rotation to Jakob Poeltl.
He will join a Brooklyn Nets rotation that features James Harden, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, DeAndre Jordan and recently acquired Blake Griffin. The team is second in the league in points scored, averaging 119.3 points per game and play at a 99.6 possession per game pace.
The Nets have a matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves Monday night, where they are a 10.5-point home favorite on FanDuel Sportsbook, in a game with a 239.5 total.
