Report: Jeff Teague to Sign with the Bucks
Teague was traded from the Celtics to the Magic as part of the trade that sent Evan Fournier to Boston, but his stint with the Magic was short. He didn’t make a single appearance for the team and was eventually waived. Now, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Teague will sign with the Bucks. That gives Teague a chance to play for a legit title contender.
The Bucks have not been quite as dominant this year as they have been over the past two seasons, but they’re still listed at +850 to win the title on FanDuel Sportsbook. They’re coming off a game where they rested virtually their entire starting lineup, but before that, they won 13 of 15 games while posting a Net Rating of +7.4 points per 100 possessions. The Bucks do have some minutes available at backup point guard after trading away D.J. Augustin, and Teague should compete with Bryn Forbes for those responsibilities. At a minimum, he gives the Bucks a bit of depth in an emergency.
