Jimmy Butler and Goran Dragic Ruled Out Thursday vs. Trail Blazers

0 17

The Heat are going to be extremely thin for Thursday’s matchup vs. the Trail Blazers. Dragic will miss his third straight game with a back injury, while Butler has been ruled out with an illness. Moe Harkless, Chris Silva, Avery Bradley, and Kelly Olynyk have also been traded away in various deals, and none of the replacement players will be available to make their debut. That leaves the team with just nine available players for Thursday’s contest.

Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo should be asked to carry the load offensively. They’ve tied for the team lead with a 28.1% usage rate with Butler, Dragic, and Bradley off the court this season, and Adebayo has averaged a stout 1.29 FanDuel points per minute in that situation. Kendrick Nunn has seen the largest usage bump on the team with all three players off the court, so he should also see a nice boost in value.

The Heat are currently listed as two-point home underdogs vs. the Blazers on FanDuel Sportsbook.
