Bam Adebayo Unavailable Sunday
Bam Adebayo will miss his fourth straight game when the Miami Heat takes on the Orlando Magic Sunday evening. Adebayo has been sidelined with a left knee injury that has kept him out of the Heat lineup for three straight victories.
What’s been most surprising is how the Heat has responded defensively to Adebayo’s absence. Adebayo is the team leader in defensive win shares, but in the three games he’s been out, the Heat has limited their opponents to an average of 95.3 points per game.
Kelly Olynyk has filled in admirably for Adebayo, posting at least 30 FanDuel Fantasy Points in all three games and going for an average of 36.4. With Olynyk at the five-spot, that’s created a void at power forward that’s being filled by KZ Okpala. Okapala has limited fantasy value. He’s put up more than five points just once and hasn’t eclipsed 17 FanDuel Fantasy Points.
