[Volleyball] Tigers drop Phoenix in four

Georgetown College volleyball again needed set one to fully warm-up Saturday against Cumberland University in Corvette Classic. The Tigers (2-0) rolled in the second and third sets before needing to avoid another fourth set dip in a 23-25, 25-15, 25-18, 25-19 win.

The Phoenix (1-4) clawed out set one that went back and forth and even saw GC take a 21-19 lead before CU pulled ahead for good.

It was no more playing around from there. The Tigers roared out and stayed ahead in the second and third sets. The fourth set saw Cumberland open a 5-0 lead before Georgetown mounted a furious comeback, chipping away until taking a lead late in the set. It was enough to finish the match off.
