We’re tracking every arbitration case ahead of Friday’s 1:00 p.m. EST deadline

One of the busiest and most underlooked days of the MLB offseason is here. Friday at 1:00 p.m. EST marks the deadline for all 30 teams to extend contract offers to players who are eligible for arbitration. If the two sides fail to reach a deal by the deadline, they will head to arbitration.

Ahead of their hearings, each side will compose what they believe is a fair contract for the next season. Only one of these two figures will be chosen, so teams and players have to decide if they want to be aggressive or cautious.

The two sides can continue to negotiate up until their hearing, though it has become more and more frequent that teams cut off negotiations and let the hearing be the deciding factor. This is known as the file-and-trial approach.

Here, we’re tracking every arbitration-eligible player’s contract status leading up to the afternoon deadline.
