[Men's Basketball] St. Ambrose adds Dec. 6 game at Drake
Fighting Bees welcome Drake challenge - Steve Batterson, Quad-City Times
Without a game in November, St. Ambrose will be put to the test in early December.
The Bees, who have not played since a season-opening 83-62 win over East-West back on Oct. 31, today added a game at NCAA Division I Drake University on Dec. 6. That will come on the heels of a game at Lincoln Christian on Dec. 3 and SAU's home opener against Governors State on Dec. 5.
Drake, led by third-year head coach Darian DeVries, will tip-off its 2020-21 campaign at Kansas State on Nov. 25, and will also play South Dakota and Omaha before facing St. Ambrose.
The Bulldogs finished 20-14 and reached the semifinals of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament a year ago. They were 24-10 in 2018-19 as DeVries earned MVC Coach of the Year honors in his first year as a head coach.
Game time for the Dec. 6 contest in the Knapp Center in Des Moines, Iowa, has not been announced.
