[Men's Basketball] Chambers Tough; Cougars lose to Indiana Tech, 90-77

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Senior point guard Maurice Chambers (Harvey, Ill./Moraine Valley CC/Warren Township) scored a team-high 17 with five rebounds, three assists and a steal,  yet the Saint Xavier University men's basketball team (0-2) came up short, losing to Indiana Institute of Technology (2-1), 90-77, in the Cornerstone Classic Saturday afternoon in Grand Rapids, Mich. Junior guard Charles Campbell Jr. (Chicago, Ill./Parkland CC/Chicago Int'l-Longwood) had another solid game, scoring 15 points and pulling down four rebounds in the loss. Junior forward Jack Halverson (Peotone, Ill./Peotone) tallied 12 points, four rebounds, two blocks and a steal. Senior small forward Josh Niego (Chicago, Ill./Lewis/Brother Rice) chipped in 11 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals.
