Women’s Student Athlete of the Week: Jordan Riley/Caroline Parsons
We split the Women’s Student-Athlete of the Week honor between Ashland, Kentucky, cross country freshman Jordan Riley, and Allen, Kentucky, volleyball freshman Caroline Parsons.
In the challenging Chick-fil-A 5K Classic at Asbury University on a hilly course, the quick freshman ran well as she crossed the tape in a solid time of 22:36, good enough for 29th place. Riley earlier set a PR when she finished the Greater Louisville Classic at 21:40.
In two volleyball matches last week, Parsons led the club in total assists. Against UC Clermont (OH), she registered 11 assists. Against the University of Pikeville (KY), she produced 14 more while adding 14 digs.
