[Bethany] Swedes Student-Athlete Spotlight

LINDSBORG - The following is a new showcase for bethanyswedes.com featuring some of our fantastic student-athletes at Bethany College. The goal is to recognize their hard work both academically and athletically. To be selected for a showcase in the Swedes Student-Athlete Spotlight individuals must be nominated by a coach and then selected by a committee that oversees the Swedes Spotlight articles. Our first student-athlete selected for the spotlight Q & A session is senior Halei Wortham. Halei is a four year letter winner and three year captain for the women's basketball team at Bethany. Halei is from Mansfield, Texas and has appeared in 86 career games for the Swedes on the hardwood with 50 career starts. She was selected All-KCAC third team following the 2019-2020 season. In her career Halei has averaged 5.6ppg, 2.2rpg, and 1.7apg. She holds the Bethany College record for best free throw percentage in a season at 83.1% and is in the top 10 for career assists.
