Kevin Krupitzer and Andrea Adam, members of the SAU swimming & diving program, were named to the prestigious 2019-20 Academic All-America NAIA Men's and Women's At-Large Teams, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Krupitzer was named to the first team while Adam earned second team honors.

The CoSIDA Academic All-America Teams are comprised of student-athletes from NAIA institutions, and are selected based on the students' work on the field and in the classroom. Nominees must be starters or important reserves, sophomores or older, with at least 3.30 cumulative grade point averages. The at-large program includes the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming & diving, tennis, water polo for both men and women; bowling, crew and field hockey for women; and volleyball and wrestling for men.

Krupitzer, from Gilbert, Ariz., earned All-American honors in four events at this year's NAIA Swimming & Diving National Championships. He finished seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke and eighth in the 200-yard breaststroke, and was a member of the fifth-place 400-yard medley relay and seventh-place 200-yard medley relay teams. The Management major holds school records in both the 100-yard breaststroke (55.86 seconds) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:03.26).

Adam, a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District pick, is the three-time reigning NAIA National Women's Diver of the Year. The Iowa City, Iowa, native is a six-time NAIA National Champion, winning the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in 2018, 2019 and 2020. She also earned All-America honors as part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that took eighth at nationals in 2019. Adam is majoring in Exercise Science at St. Ambrose.

Krupitzer and Adam were two of five Bees to earn CoSIDA Academic All-District recognition in 2019-20, joining Bethany Anderson (women's at-large/swimming & diving), Cole Aughenbaugh (baseball) and Kaitlyn Keith (women's at-large/bowling). They are the first St. Ambrose Academic All-Americans since Morgan Krieger (softball), Ashley Plumb (women's track & field/cross country), Jack Reemtsma (men's track & field) and Katie Reitz (women's soccer) accomplished the feat in 2018-19.
