[Men's Basketball] No. 6 Westmont Topples Hawks
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Facing the last NAIA Top 10 opponent of the season, No. 6 Westmont was as unfriendly to the Hawks on the scoreboard as the other top teams the SDC men's basketball team has faced.
The Warriors took down the Hawks 91-74 giving the Hawks 6-18 overall record and 2-15 conference slate.
Bryce Parsons scored a team-high 24 points on 9-14 shooting. Jared Nyivih grabbed eight boards with 14 points.
Richard Wright scored the opening bucket in the game off a pass from Parsons. The last lead the Hawks would have, however, was when Parsons hit a triple with 17:45 remaining in the half. Westmont led at the break 42-33.
The Warriors lead would reach double digits in the early going of the second half and never dip below.
SDC finishes its season on Saturday against Life Pacific.
