2020 Dynasty Fantasy Football Rankings
The 2019-20 football season is finally past us. The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl, Damien Williams proved that Kareem Hunt never mattered and…now we are on to winning dynasty fantasy football titles in 2020. With a sensational rookie class including a stud quarterback and multiple star wide receivers, this is going to prove to be a pivotal offseason for many dynasty fantasy football rosters. This early edition of my dynasty fantasy football rankings was done immediately following Super Bowl LIV and was constructed while looking at my rosters that I currently own while also assessing the pool for several start-up leagues that I will be joining over the coming months.
As the offseason progresses, I expect that many of these rankings will have slight changes. For example, if Drew Brees retires, it probably will not be as intelligent to keep Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara as first-round players in dynasty. If the Buccaneers lose the services of Jameis Winston or sign Melvin Gordon in free agency, then we will have to re-do the entire calculus of how we value their roster going forward. Unlike most dynasty fantasy football rankings, these rankings are going to place a tremendous amount of value on context. Having extremely talented players doesn’t matter if those players never get playing time. Of course, having talented players who do not have playing time YET but eventually get playing time is sort of the whole skeleton key of winning in dynasty fantasy football leagues.
