[Women's Soccer] Women's Soccer Scores Seven in First Game
Sioux Center, Iowa â The Tiger's started their season off strong with a road win against Dordt College. The match saw a flurry of shots on goal and the ONU offense started fast, scoring three goals in the first half. Jeanine Valera (JR/Naperville, Ill.) came on as a sub early in the game and scored the opening goal off an assist from Abby Cash (FR/Gardner, Ill.). Sarah Buda (JR/Ortonville, Mich.) scored shortly after off a ball from Sarah Buffum (SR/Byron Center, Mich.). Amanda Durbin (SR/Cape May, N.J.) rounded out the scoring in the first half with her unassisted strike. Before the first half came to a close, Amanda Roche (SR/Tinley Park, Ill.) made a brilliant save against a penalty kick by Dordt.
