So, that sucked. To put it lightly. In just over a week, the New York Mets have hit the skids. In two critical matchups against the Braves and Phillies, the Mets proceeded to lose five of six games.
Updated Post: June 23. at 2:53 pm The Mets made a flurry of roster moves before Monday’s contest with the Atlanta Braves. In addition to announcing the signing of LHP Richard Lovelady, the team also selected the contract of OF Travis Jankowski.
At 2-8 over the last 10, the Mets are suddenly the coldest team in the entire NL.
This was a rough stretch for the Mets. They came into the week on a three-game losing streak. Things didn’t get much better at the start of the week, as they continued to lose the next four in a row.
The Mariners head to the Twin Cites to face the flailing Twins.
